News concerning liability in traffic accidents. The Criminal Court acquitted the accused of the crime and misdemeanour of manslaughter which was the object of the accusation. The judge considered that the production of the fatal result could not be attributed to the accused as a result of either serious or slight negligence, as there was no legally relevant causal link between his behaviour and the accident in which the injured party lost her life, nor was there any failure on the part of the accused to observe the rules of precaution and caution required in the driving of a motor vehicle.
